Surprisingly, one of my new favorite things in clothing is shoulder pads. Strange huh? They have such a stigma of being old fashioned (in a bad way) and over the top and rediculous. Since all of those adjectives directly describe my style, how has it taken me so long to find them!? Besides just adding an extra umph that few people seek, they also give great definition to my otherwise extremely narrow and shlumpy shoulders, making my waist look thinner and my whole appearance more put together. I believe I will be searching them out more than ever in thrift stores now (I do not believe the competition for such an item will be terribly fierce)!
